July 1st Scripture Memory Workout Verse

If you are doing the Scripture memory challenge, please post your verse here.
Even if you usually put your verse on the LPM Blog every 2 wks, please put it here too, to encourage the women in our group, and also maybe even to give others an idea of what to memorize!!

  1. My verses are from the M,M&L Study.
    I want to memorize them from The Message, since it puts them in such a unique way.

    Psalm 19: 7-8

    The revlation of GOD is whole
    and pulls our lives together.
    The signposts of GOD are clear
    and point out the right road.
    The life-maps of GOD are right,
    showing the way to joy.
    The directions of GOD are plain
    and easy on the eyes.

  2. I am memorizing Psalm 121. Last time, I memorized verses 1-4. This week, it's 5-8.

    Psalm 121:6-8 (NIV)

    The LORD watches over you -
    the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

    the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

    The LORD will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life;

    the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

  3. Nightingale, have you done Beth's Bible study "Stepping Up"? I did it on my own last summer and it was a very special one for me, as I was preparing to take a group of Pastors & Ministry leaders to Israel. Her intro's & endings were filmed in Jerusalem!
    As part of the study she asked us to memorize Psalm 121, and it has been very special and near to me ever since. There have been SO mnay times when I've been in a situation where one of the verses about His protection in that psalm has pulled me through!

    Yes, I did that study last year, but I admit that I was not disciplined in memorizing Psalm 121. I started memorizing Scripture as a Siesta this year. :)

    This is such a great chapter! So blessed by it.

  9. June I have to tell you Psalms 63 has been my psalms since I have been in nepal. God particulularly used it in a time in when I was living in a village and it was so difficult and there was no running water.. and I just drank up the truth in that scripture.

    Mine for this month is Deu 33:8 And the Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail or forsake you. Do not fear do not be dismayed.

    I need this one as I am super excited about returning back to my family and my homeland.. but also afraid as I have been in a very difference culture and a very diffrent life and am afraid of culture shock. So please pray for me

    Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about His mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so you will have the right response for everyone.

    Our church did a community-wide service day on June 27. I prayed this for all those who served that day, and am waiting to see what God's up to! Exciting!
